Accurate as-built CAD drawings are invaluable to the Facility or Property Manager. These drawings represent what exists in the building today, uncluttered with extraneous design or construction document information that may not ultimately reflect the built condition. Going beyond basic architectural floor plans, additional information can be layered on to produce egress or evacuation plans, furniture and equipment layouts, and mechanical plans to name some of the most popular. People who manage buildings understand that having an accurate “record set” can drive operational improvements.

These drawings can also serve as the base information for CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management). We can take the floor plan drawings we develop and incorporate room by room polyline outlines to which specific attributes (i.e., room names, room numbers, square footage, furniture, equipment, room occupants, client specific cost-center codes, etc) can be assigned. This layering of information can offer great flexibility for analyzing building data and much more.
