Many Existing Conditions' employees are actively involved in local AIA and IFMA chapters, including AIA New York, AIA Brooklyn, AIA Queens, AIA Pennsylvania, AIA Philadelphia, AIA New Hampshire, AIA Rhode Island, AIA Staten Island, and IFMA Boston. Existing Conditions has provided various chapters with Continuing Education webinars, sponsored events, and donated to non-profit organizations.
Existing Conditions founder and CEO Kurt Yeghian announced the donation of a FARO X-120 3D laser scanner with software to his alma mater, the Boston Architectural College (BAC), to be used in training future architects.
Most recently with our multi-year partnership alongside the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund to organize a Digital Documentation Fellowship focused on educating students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s).
NAIOP is the leading organization for commercial real estate professionals. President of Existing Conditions, Jared Curtis, is the head of Government Affairs of the NAIOP New York City chapter. Existing Conditions enjoys meeting and speaking with many members of other chapters from around the country and learning more about their markets, businesses, and members.
Our Senior Project Manager and Drone Captain, Joe Sullivan, recently volunteered at The Boston Drone School, run by Greg Blaize. Joe had a great experience sharing his knowledge with the students, educating them about drone technology and providing hands-on guidance on flying techniques.
Our team of experts participated in the Summer Workshop at Columbia University. Our objective was to collaborate with six talented students as they delved into the realm of documenting, analyzing, and interpreting scan data of the Low Memorial Building. The students then delivered an impressive presentation on the accumulation of dust on facades. Their research was greatly enhanced by our scan data, and we are immensely proud of their accomplishments.
Our Operations Director, Jesus Bravo, served as a mentor for the Whitestone Revitalization Capstone High School Competition. This competition, sponsored by AIA Queens and Councilwoman Vickie Paladino, aimed to inspire and empower young minds to propose innovative ideas for revitalizing the Whitestone area of Queens.
Kurt Yeghian manages the company's daily operations. Kurt became a licensed building contractor in 1992 and managed the construction of numerous residential buildings in Rhode Island. Before his private sector work experience, Kurt spent 13 years as an engineer in the United States Air Force, specializing in existing building analysis and contingency preparedness.
Jared manages operations and strategic initiatives for the company. Prior to joining Existing Conditions in 2020, he was the Director of Capital Markets and Global Real Estate Advisor for Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty and assisted WinnDevelopment by providing a diverse set of real estate development and acquisitions services.
Brian oversees all 3D laser scanning, point cloud data registration, and quality control of all 3D Revit models for Existing Conditions. Before joining Existing Conditions Surveys in 2008, Brian was responsible for CAD and Revit management at several local Boston architecture firms including Kallmann McKinnell and Wood Architects.
Leaning on decades of experience in the AEC industry, Philip oversees the standardization, implementation, and automation of technology and processes across the company. Before joining the company in 2011, he was the BIM Manager at a large architecture firm in California.
Holly manages the daily operations of the company from client service to personnel, scheduling, coordinating projects and equipment, and training for all team members. Before Existing Conditions, she worked at several well-known firms in the Boston area as a project manager and lead designer.
Conor oversees the production of models and drawings and creates the standards and processes for their production. Before joining Existing Conditions in 2010, he helped design award-winning projects at Lake Flato Architects in San Antonio and DiMella Shaffer Architects in Boston.
