Old North Church
This famous institution, with a small urban campus in the North End of Boston, played an important role in the American Revolution. By the 21st century, there was a need to understand and document the aging buildings for preservation, but also the need to relate the numerous floor-level changes connecting the church, Parish House, and Visitor Center for accessibility updates.
Existing Conditions partnered with the trustees of the church and Elkus Manfredi Architects to provide a full 3D laser scan and 3D BIM model of all buildings on campus. The data was used for historic preservation and accessibility update redesigns. Our expertise and drawings provided the base data for the architectural drawings necessary for these updates and ongoing facility management.
