Project Delivery Information

UPDATED ON March 27, 2024.

When we deliver our projects, we will include links to project data, online platforms, and various resources to help you access and use your files successfully.

Please save these emails with project folder links and login credentials for future deliveries, updates, or access. You may also forward the folder link to anyone who needs access.

To view 3D panoramic images or take a virtual walk-through of the scan data and take measurements, see the instructions below for access to our Virtual Site Visit platform or for downloading and installing either TruView or SceneLT (pre-2020 projects).

Virtual Site Visit (VSV)

If you have opted for a Virtual Site Visit you can access our dedicated and secured platform from any web-enabled device by visiting https://ec.iv.navvis.com/.

The project delivery email should include your login credentials to access your projects using the following steps:

  • When you first visit https://ec.iv.navvis.com/ you will see our sample dataset that is public to all users.
  • In the upper right of the screen, click on the profile icon and choose Login
  • Use the credentials set in the delivery email to log in to your account and click Login.
  • Click on the Globe icon in the upper right of the screen to access the map overview of your projects.
  • Click on any visible project to view its Virtual Site Visit page. (As part of our public educational efforts, you may see locations unrelated to your project. Feel free to check them out, or ignore them.)

Google Drive Project Folder Organization

Click here for instructions on how to effectively download these files.

  • The Revit or DWG files and PDFs will be posted in the default project folder. If there are many DWG files, they may be placed in a ZIP file or a separate DWG folder.
  • The “Point Clouds” folder contains the RCP or RCS files used for Autodesk products like Revit, AutoCAD, and ReCap. Point clouds serve as a 3D reference for creating the models and drawings. (E57 files are used on some projects for data transfer and can be ignored. If this is your preferred point cloud format, please feel free to download these files if available).
  • The TruView folder (or SceneLT folder on older projects) contains the Virtual Walkthrough data in LGS format that can be used to view the 3D Panoramic information in the point cloud data.
  • Both the Point Clouds and TruView files, which contain the 3D laser scan data, are provided as a back-check for drawings delivered by Existing Conditions. Clients will review the 3D laser scan data and drawings upon delivery; and contact Existing Conditions if additional drawings or drawing updates are needed before design, construction, or other uses.

TruView Install & LGS(X) Files

  • If the project folder contains a "TruView" folder, then continue reading for how to download and use the TruView software and files.
  • The TruView file format is LGS or LGSX. This data contains the 3D Panoramic view of the scan data for each scan setup location. You will need to use either the TruViewPortable (no installation required) or the full TruView Install to view the LGS\LGSX files:
    • Option 1 - TruView Portable is a viewer that does not need to be installed and can be placed on a USB stick or drive and transferred with the LGS data.
    • Option 2 - TruView Install is a standard Windows software that can be installed and run to view the LGS data. (This is the recommended option). If you have a 3D VR headset, you can also download the TruView VR software from this location to utilize the VR interface.

  • Click here to download Leica TruView from our servers (see options available above)
  • Windows users will need to have a dedicated video card with 1GB of RAM.
  • MAC users will need access to a Windows machine with the above specs or utilize our Virtual Site Viewer option for online viewing from any web-based device.

Jetstream Software & JSV Files

  • If the project folder contains a “Jetstream” folder, then this is an older format of the TruView files (used on projects between 2020-2021).
  • The Jetstream file format is JSV. This data contains the 3D Panoramic view of the scan data for each scan setup location. You will need to use the Jetstream Portable (no installation required) in order to view the JSV files. This will allow you to view JSV files without having to uninstall TruView on your machine.
  • Watch the TruView video above for tips on how to use the software. The icons are in different locations, but all the functions are the same.
  • Click here to download Leica Jetstream Portable software
  • Windows users will need to have a dedicated video card with 1GB of RAM.
  • MAC users will need access to a Windows machine with the above specs or utilize our Virtual Site Viewer option for online viewing from any web-based device.

SceneLT Install & Files (for pre-2020 projects)

  • If the project folder contains a “Scene Scan Data” folder, then continue reading for how to download and use the SceneLT software and files.
  • The SceneLT file format is a ZIP file that contains a set of folders and files. This data contains the 3D Panoramic view of the scan data for each scanner location. You will need to unzip these files and then open the "FWS" file in Scene LT to view the scan data.
  • Here is the page to download Scene LT. Click on the link to download the free software and fill out the information form.
  • Once Scene LT is installed, go to the setting icon in the upper right (gear icon) and click the button at the top labeled "Switch User Interface". This will set the user interface to allow the opening of FWS files.
  • MAC users will need access to a Windows machine to install this software.
